Our Edgewater friends have just received new playground equipment and they have been thrilled to explore them! As warmer weather and Spring approaches, we have added large building blocks to our outdoor classroom for hours of fun in the sun! These “loose parts” allow children to use their imagination and create their own unique structures, obstacles courses and more. These new blocks also encourage children to work together (social-emotional skills), problem solve and use critical thinking skills, work on their gross motor skills as they jump, run, and assemble pieces, and most importantly, the children have fun as they work on these skills together!
